Tracking Health Worker Productivity Project (THWPP) Launched in Gombe State, Nigeria
HCM is proud to announce the launch of the Tracking Health Worker Productivity Project (THWPP) in Gombe State, Nigeria—a strategic initiative supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in partnership with the Gombe State Government. This project is designed to address one of Nigeria’s most persistent health workforce challenges and transform primary healthcare by enhancing health worker productivity, optimizing workforce management, and improving overall service delivery.
The project will initially target 23 primary healthcare centers within the Gombe Local Government Area, with plans for broader implementation. Through the use of our innovative CureRite application, we will capture real-time data from these healthcare centers, empowering local healthcare administrators with the insights needed to optimize worker performance and improve healthcare outcomes.
“By integrating technology into the everyday management of healthcare professionals, we are not only enhancing productivity but also fostering an environment of accountability and continuous improvement,” Mr. Jerry, Project Manager. “This project exemplifies our commitment to using data-driven solutions to elevate human resource management in the healthcare sector.”
The launch of the THWP project demonstrates our commitment to leveraging technology for social good and aligns with our foundation’s commitment to support healthcare access, economic empowerment, and community development,” Mr. Jerry, Project Manager. “This initiative will enhance health worker accountability and ensure that underserved communities receive the quality care they deserve.”
The data uploaded on CureRite will be analyzed and visualized on the productivity dashboard to offer healthcare administrators and state officials clear insights into how resources can be more effectively allocated and where interventions are needed to enhance service delivery. With predictive analytics, CureRite can also forecast workforce needs, ensuring the right number of staff is deployed to high-need areas, optimizing the healthcare delivery process.
Key Benefits of the Project:
- Improved Health Worker Productivity: Through real-time tracking and data-driven insights, health worker efficiency will be enhanced, enabling better resource allocation.
- Enhanced Patient Care: A motivated and efficient workforce is key to delivering high-quality healthcare services, ensuring that patients receive the care they need.
- Informed Decision-Making: The real-time data collected will allow for timely adjustments, fostering continuous improvement in service delivery.
“This project marks a pivotal step in strengthening our healthcare system and improving the well-being of our communities,” said Madam Amdo, Project Desk Officer at the Gombe State Primary Healthcare Development Agency (GSPHCDA). “We are eager to work alongside our partners to leverage technology for meaningful change.”

Build a Data-Driven Health System: By relying on real-time data and advanced analytics, the project will create a more agile and responsive health system.
Expected Outcomes:
By achieving the outlined goals, we anticipate the following outcomes, all of which will make a long-lasting impact on the healthcare system in Gombe State:
Increased Workforce Efficiency: More skilled and motivated health workers will strengthen the healthcare delivery process in focus health facilities. With better performance tracking, we expect a noticeable improvement in productivity across participating healthcare centers.

Enhanced Monitoring and Evaluation: Real-time data will improve the ability to assess and monitor healthcare delivery, ensuring continuous improvement.
Better Client Feedback: Patients will benefit from more responsive and attentive care, leading to enhanced satisfaction.
Scalable Impact: The system is designed to expand beyond Gombe State, offering a scalable model for healthcare facilities nationwide.
Through the Tracking Health Worker Productivity Project THWPP, HCM is committed to supporting the Gombe State healthcare system by combining cutting-edge technology with collaboration to drive real, measurable change. We look forward to the positive impact this initiative will have on the lives of Gombe State residents.
