The delegation, including Board members Dr Shuabu Idris Hajiya Saudatu Mahdi MFR, Hajiya Rabi S. Jimeta, and Dr. Jazuli Lawal, inspected the organization\u2019s core infrastructure. Anas Jibrin, Chief Strategy Officer, highlighted the importance of this alignment: &#8220;This retreat allows management to have better coordination with the Board of Directors needed to develop accountability metrics and KPIs that will help keep us on the right path. I am very hopeful that this is the foundational work needed to align management and develop a clear strategic roadmap for growth.&#8221;<br \/>\nKey developments included:<br \/>\nBusiness Model (2026\u20132028): The Board directed a targeted engagement strategy to advocate for HCM digital solutions across 50\u201360% of relevant Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).<br \/>\nHuman Capital Alignment: An HR Consultant outlined a workforce strategy centered on digital skills and leadership depth.<br \/>\nStructural Distinction: The Board mandated a clear separation between the Limited Liability Company and the Hope, Compassion, and Mercy (HCM) Foundation to ensure specialized focus on both corporate and social impact tracks.<br \/>\nHajiya Rabi S. Jimeta, a member of the Governing Board, described the sessions as instrumental: &#8220;We had an opportunity to interact openly on the prospects, progress, and challenges. CEO Dr. Ismail Jibrin explained that the restructuring advised by the Board is far-reaching and designed to maintain a competitive edge.<br \/>\n&#8220;To go into 2026 in a stronger form, we are improving our bookkeeping and financial accounting by strengthening internal controls,&#8221; Dr. Jibrin stated. He noted the recommendation to appoint an Internal Auditor to provide real-time input on transactions. Furthermore, he emphasized the need for a dedicated legal expert: &#8220;HCM deals with many funders outside this country with their own guidelines. A dedicated legal expert to review these requirements is key.&#8221;<br \/>\nThe Board also approved a standalone, fully empowered Communication and Marketing unit. According to the CEO, this unit will be &#8220;charged with the responsibility of not only educating the public but also educating HCM staff internally to carry out client services in a professional manner.&#8221;<br \/>\nLeadership Summary and Final Outcomes<br \/>\nThe retreat concluded with the formal adoption of a three-year implementation roadmap and a comprehensive KPI dashboard. This Strategy Resolution ensures that every dollar of investment is backed by rigorous institutional discipline.<br \/>\nReflecting on the purpose of the gathering, Dr. Idris noted that &#8220;failure to plan is planning to fail.&#8221; He emphasized that the retreat allowed shareholders and directors to review the journey so far and navigate the terrain ahead. &#8220;This strategic retreat has been quite revealing.
